BRISBANE AIRPORT: to close due to tropical cyclone Alfred

BRISBANE AIRPORT: to close due to tropical cyclone Alfred

Flights to and from Brisbane Airport are scheduled to cease at approximately 4 pm today (Thursday 6 March, 2025) Queensland time. This is due to deteriorating coastal weather conditions due to tropical cyclone Alfred.

Passengers expecting to depart after that time, should not travel to the airport if their flight has been cancelled. The airport is advising travellers to contact the airline they have booked with.

An airport spokesperson has advised that Brisbane Airport will continue to keep its terminals open while passengers and essential airport workers need shelter. The airport will also remain open for emergency and aeromedical services and Defence operations while it is safe.
