Qantas: Accor does loyalty link-up with Qantas
I wished they had announced this last week!
I could have doubled my points when booking for the new Sofitel Hotel in Adelaide. Maybe I should cancel and rebook?
From yesterday (17 November 2021) if you are a member of Qantas Frequent Flyer and ALL (Accor Live Limitless) loyalty programs, and you link them, then you can earn points on both for – wait for it – ‘eligible’ hotel bookings and Qantas flights
Content of this Post:
Points earns
On Qantas – if you book an Accor hotel through the Qantas site, then you get 3 Qantas Points per AU$ spent, and the same earn on – ‘eligible’ – transactions at that Accor hotel, including dining and room service, as well as ALL Rewards points

Conversion
Qantas Frequent Flyers can already convert their ALL – Accor Live Limitless Reward points to Qantas Points at the rate of one ALL Reward point per one Qantas Point (in increments of 2000).
. . . and that’s not all – additional benefits
- Qantas Frequent Flyer members with Gold status or above and Points Club or Points Club Plus members can fast-track their ALL membership from Classic to Silver when their accounts are linked, and they comple the required eligible hotel stays (note that plural)
- Accor Plus members with ALL Gold status or greater get free Qantas Wine Premium membership including free delivery on orders within Australia plus you are able to earn 3 Qantas Points per dollar spent
The wine thing is not attractive to me, as I am almost a teetotaller, but my husband may be interested.
You can see all the details and the cross membership arrangements at qantas.com/accor or all.com
2PAXfly Takeout
This is another timely reminder to wear your seatbelt when seated. Holding you close to your seat will protect you from the sort of injuries sustained on this flight, when unsecured passengers flew to the ceiling of the aircraft, and then came crashing down once the ‘drop’ ceased.
The hope will be that this is an anomaly – a ‘freak accident’ in casual parlance. If it is a systemic error either mechanical or electronic, then this is a larger concern for the airlines that fly Boeing Dreamliner 787 aircraft. Let’s hope it isn’t. If it is, it will pile on the woes to Boeing’s existing stack.
Look, I know it sounds complex, but with diminishing benefits of nearly all loyalty programs, hotel, airline or whatever, you need to earn points where you can get them these days. Join, link, book, I say.
What did you say?
