COVID-19: First Vaccines arrive at Sydney Airport

Today 142,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine have arrived at Sydney Airport care of Singapore Airlines.

This load, after some testing by the Therapeutic Goods Administrations is destined for frontline health and quarantine workers and those in aged care from Monday.

And yes, this is the vaccine that has to be stored at under -70°C, so well done to all those involved in the logistics of preparation, transport and delivery from Belgium via Singapore to Sydney.

This represents the beginning of the roll-out of the vaccine in Australia, which should be a game-changer to our whole border protection strategy.
