COVID-19: Sydneysiders – Queensland travel ban until December – re-elected Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk confirms
If you live in Greater Sydney or any bit of Victoria then don’t even think of travelling to Queensland until December at the earliest according to re-elected Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk.
There goes any hope of a November long weekend in far north Queensland!
The premier was popped the question at a press conference Sunday morning following her re-election this weekend to govern Queensland.
It had been thought that the closing of the Queensland borders was largely an election strategy, and may be modified post an election win. Not the case.
Notionally the test for border re-opening is that Sydney and Victoria need to record 28 days free of any community transmission before the borders will re-open. It looks like Annastacia is sticking to her guns.
If you live in New South Wales, but not in Greater Sydney, then you can now visit Queensland.
