Etihad: refreshes Guest loyalty program

Etihad Airways flies into Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane directly from Abu Dhabi, and has a codeshare agreement with Virgin Australia.
Etihad is gussying-up its Etihad Guest loyalty program. The improvements aren’t great, but they are positive:
- Changing the visuals of the program (relaunch)
- Etihad Guest Miles no longer expire (but you need some activity every 18 months)
- Adding more things you can redeem for Miles
- One way Chauffeur service in Abu Dhabi for gold and above members on award tickets
- Platinum Etihad Guest members get free inflight wifi
- Gold Etihad Guest members get a 75% reduction in the cost of inflight wifi
- Platinum members get their own contact number

I wouldn’t be proclaiming these from the hilltops as revelations, but in a time where most loyalty scheme announcements herald value reductions, it’s nice to hear some positive improvements to the Etihad Guest Scheme
