Fiji Airways and Intercontinental: late winter break

Series: Fiji 2019
- Fiji Airways and Intercontinental: late winter break
This post comes to you from the back pool deck of our Suite at the Intercontinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Natadola.
How we got here
My husband and I, and my mother-in-law (well that’s two things I never thought I’d be able to say – Yeah! marriage equality!) arrived last night care of Fiji Airways in Business Class. We booked via the Qantas website using 72,000 Qantas Frequent Flyer points per person for a return Classic Reward, plus AU$275 each in fees and charges (including credit card charges).
That’s not a spectacular use of points, but it’s not a bad redemption when the tickets would have cost us about $AU1,675 pp.

Catch up and downtime
Needless to say, it was Bula! balmy, when we arrived and still is this morning.
In between relaxing and attacking the stack of novels I brought with me, I’ll be catching up on some trip reports.
Bring on the hotel breakfast!
Bula!
