Fiji Airways: A350 flights to commence by end 2019
Fiji Airways has announced that it will lease two Airbus A350-900 wide-body aircraft as part of their expansion plans. The aircraft will be ‘in addition’ to their six-strong fleet of A330’s, as opposed to replacing them.
The airline will use the aircraft on services between Fiji and New Zealand, Australia and the United States. Delivery is scheduled for November/December 2019.
Fiji Airways currently flies between Fiji and the following Australian cities: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide.
Fiji Airways are an in inaugural ‘Oneworld Connect‘ member of the Oneworld Alliance, and therefore a partner with Qantas. So Qantas Frequent Flyer members can avail themselves of the ever-dwindling Oneworld membership perks.
Fiji Airways have chosen the Collins Airspace ‘Super Diamond’ design as the basis for their business class seating – also used by Qatar, Virgin Australia, Air Canada, and with the addition of a sliding door by British Airways for their new Club Suite.
