Nine nights in a suite, and 10 days of sunbaking and books

You may have read about the difficult start to our journey, where one of our party discovered they had an expired passport at the airport. That delayed their arrival by 4 days, but they finally joined us – so all is well.

This is my first trip to New Caledonia, and it is pretty amazing.

This is purely a ‘flop and drop’ holiday for us. That is a kind of ‘end of southern hemisphere winter’ celebration, and our last break before the Chrismas season.

This will be a small trip report. I’m just going to cover the flight there, the stay at the hotel, and the flight home. I might do a quick feature on the Tjibaou Cultural centre too.
