Match you FF status? Virgin/Velocity will match it – apply today

While Qantas dominates the news with strikes, no dividend and a mainline international operation losing money – Virgin takes the initiative by offering that its frequent flyer scheme Velocity will match whatever status you have on any other airlines frequent flyer scheme.

“For a limited time, we will match the status of tiered members of any competitor frequent flyer program, providing them with the equivalent Velocity status for 12 months. 

“We’re confident that once travelers get to experience all of the benefits of the new Velocity program, they will want to continue flying with Virgin Australia.”

Two things you need to remember – its a limited offer, and they say they could retract it at any time and there are a few programs (ones already associated with Virgin) that are excluded.

Just go to the website and use the email address provided – follow the instructions to include you current

• Velocity number
• Status Requested
• Scan or copy of your latest frequent flyer statement you want them to match, demonstrating your current status and the validity dates.
