EMIRATES AIRLINES: Sydney to Christchurch with a shower is back! – A380 returns to route

In 2023 on March 27, Emirates will be returning its A380 on the Sydney to Christchurch, New Zealand route. That means for, under AU $3,000 return, you can have a shower in the air and first-class service, both ways!

The service is a continuation of Emirates standard Dubai to Sydney EK412 flight which departs for Christchurch around 8:45 am (arrives in Christchurch at 1:50 pm), turning into EK413 for its return flight, departing at 18:20 out of Christchurch for its return to Sydney (19:40), and on to Dubai.

This is another timely reminder to wear your seatbelt when seated. Holding you close to your seat will protect you from the sort of injuries sustained on this flight, when unsecured passengers flew to the ceiling of the aircraft, and then came crashing down once the ‘drop’ ceased.

The hope will be that this is an anomaly – a ‘freak accident’ in casual parlance. If it is a systemic error either mechanical or electronic, then this is a larger concern for the airlines that fly Boeing Dreamliner 787 aircraft. Let’s hope it isn’t. If it is, it will pile on the woes to Boeing’s existing stack.
