Virgin Australia improves Status Credits earn on ‘getaway’ fares

Improve Status Credits earn? You could knock me down with a feather!

From the 1st December 2018, Virgin Australia is raising (did you hear that RAISING!) the number of status credits you earn on short domestic routes from 5 credits, to 7. That’s a 14% increase in Status Credits (remember I did get an ‘F’ in matriculation maths – so don’t use that figure reliable).

That means 36 return short haul flights to reach Gold status (500 status credits) rather than the previous 50! Kaloo Kalay!

Getaway fares are the lowest form of Economy but include complimentary food and beverages, entertainment and one 23kg checked bag.
